Heartwise Healing

Psychotherapy with Caroline Lee, Licensed Clinical Social Worker
"It’s who we become that changes the world, not what we do.
We uplift and heal people by our presence and the light we shine.
We are able to see their divine light and perfection when we embody our own light.
We don’t do this for recognition, we do this anonymously.
We live the work and become the work.
We change and then the world changes."
~Sandra Ingerman

About Caroline

I am a bicultural, first-generation college graduate and social worker, raised by immigrant parents in a cross-cultural home. Growing up between worlds shaped my sensitivity to identity, transition, and the many ways we learn to belong.

My early fascination with holistic living led me to study clinical herbalism and nutrition. For many years, I worked as a holistic chef, cooking in retreat spaces, workshops, and private homes, offering food as a form of care and healing for those seeking a deeper connection to their bodies.

In my late twenties, I met my first spiritual teacher, who taught me how to walk gracefully between worlds. Since then, I have continued studying with teachers of the healing arts.

Outside of social work, I am nourished by practicing yoga, the Caribbean Sea, time in the mountains, camping and backpacking, hot spring road trips, dancing, and the companionship of my beloved dog, Uli.

Hi, I'm Caroline

I support adults in exploring how early and family experiences have shaped their relationships, with a desire to better understand themselves and move toward greater connection, clarity, and wholeness.

My Approach

I am a social worker trained through a psychodynamic and systems-informed lens, with a deep respect and curiosity for how early relationships, family dynamics, and trauma shape our inner worlds. My work also considers the ways culture, social location, gender identity, and lived experience influence how we come to understand ourselves and relate to others. My personal lens is informed by my identity as an Asian American woman and my experience growing up in a bicultural household, which shapes how I attend to culture, power, privilege, and oppression in the therapeutic space.

I support adults who are interested in knowing themselves more intimately and who are seeking greater freedom, ease, and joy in their lives. Many of the clients I work with are curious about how early and family experiences continue to shape their relationships and inner worlds, and want support in moving toward greater clarity, connection, and a sense of wholeness.

I offer a holistic and insight-oriented way of working that includes somatic experiencing for nervous system regulation, parts work, and transpersonal psychology. I am formally trained in Somatic Experiencing and weave this body-based approach into sessions to support greater awareness, regulation, and choice. As unconscious patterns and internal drives come into awareness, new possibilities for agency, authenticity, and connection can emerge—both within ourselves and in relationship to the world around us.

At the heart of my work is a commitment to slowing things down and creating space for self-inquiry. Together, we attend to patterns that have developed over time—particularly in relationships—and explore how they continue to shape one’s inner and outer experience. Through curiosity, reflection, and relational attunement, experiences that once felt confusing or overwhelming can begin to feel more understandable and integrated.

Together, we listen closely to the body as a guide for understanding stress, emotion, and safety. Over time, many people find they feel more at home in their bodies, more at ease with themselves, and more connected to the world around them.
